The benefits of staying up to date

For those using MyVideoAnalyser and MyVA Remote every day, speed and reliability are at the heart of your workflow. Taking a few moments to keep your devices and apps updated is a simple way to ensure a seamless, secure, and smooth experience.

Apple officially supports only its most recent operating systems. Older versions, like macOS 11 and 12, no longer receive security patches, making it impossible to guarantee software stability on them. Additionally, Apple is phasing out Intel-based Macs entirely, moving exclusively to Apple Silicon in upcoming releases.

Why a quick macOS update supports your workflow

  • Smooth performance: Updates refine how your hardware interacts with the software, handling heavy video files effortlessly.
  • Reliable security: Keeping up with the latest patches ensures your valuable tactical data remains well-protected.
  • Future readiness: It ensures you have immediate access to new tools designed to make your analysis easier.

Staying up to date is a straightforward way to ensure your technology fully supports the quality of your work.

Support you can count on
Apple releases a new macOS version every year. The current version is macOS 26, supported on MacBooks from around 2019/2020 onwards. Still using an older model? No problem, MyVideoAnalyser is fully compatible with macOS 14 and newer.

We make sure MyVideoAnalyser and MyVA Remote take full advantage of the latest macOS features, giving you access to cutting-edge technology. At the same time, we continue to support older versions like macOS 14 Sonoma and macOS 15 Sequoia. However, Apple no longer supports versions older than macOS 14, meaning we cannot perform tests on those older platforms anymore. While the MyVideoAnalyser will continue to run, any new bugs or issues that arise on those versions cannot be resolved. So there is no immediate rush, but do update in time to keep everything running smoothly.

Looking ahead: macOS 27
Coming this autumn, Apple will launch macOS 27. As with most big updates, the first few versions (27.0, 27.0.1) may still have some early bugs. Usually, version 27.1 is when things truly settle down. That is why we recommend holding off on upgrading until macOS 27.1 is released, so you can avoid stress during key analysis or match days.

In short:

  • Keep your MacBook and iPad up to date for speed, stability, and security.
  • MyVideoAnalyser runs best on macOS 26 and above, but fully supports back to macOS 14.
  • macOS 27 is coming; wait for version 27.1 for smooth performance.
  • Our support team is here to help whenever you need it.
